To the Flag of Honor/Heroes project team:
I just wanted to give you an update of my own, as you are all so wonderful in giving us all updates!
Your mission has become my mission.
Every time I tell someone about your flags I try to get them to help in support and buy one.
Well, I have written you previously about getting my dad one of your flags and shirts, and had told him back on his birthday in July, that he should call the local paper and have them come out on 9-11 and take a picture of his beautiful flag flying.
Well, he did, and they came out today. I tried to impress on my dad how important it was to me for them to include your email address so that anyone interested can order your flags, and my goodness, they did!
They are even going to include my name and number if anyone wants any more information about them.
So, in a way, I feel like I have joined your team, and for that I am grateful!
I wanted to tell you all that as soon as I get a copy of the picture from the paper that I will have my husband scan it for me and send it along to you to add you your collection of photographs!

Thank you, my friend gave me a flag, the father of my 2 young children passed on 9-11 and now I am ordering one for our son. This is something that I always would have liked to pass to our children in honor of their father.

I was one of four members who were ordered to respond to the tragedy on 9/11.
It was a privilege and an honor to serve my country, state and town.
Two of the deceased firefighters were very close friends of mine.
